We have been working in the maintenance business for over 20 years.

RML has been providing maintenance services to government and commercial clients since its formation in 1999.

Our team includes operational staff, health & safety and quality assurance teams as well as office-based finance and administration teams. We are dedicated to creating a service partnership with our government and commercial clients, assisting with the long term maintenance of their property portfolios. 

We have a network of almost 100 subcontracting businesses employing approximately 800 trades staff.

CHARLES ROSS BAKER / Company Director, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER, ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISOR 

Ross has over 43 years in the building and facilities maintenance industries providing services across private, commercial and government contracts. A qualified electrician, as co-director of RML, Ross has brought a practical hands-on approach to the strategic and operational direction of the company. 

As Community Engagement Manager, Ross has had a major role in driving our community contribution resulting in the formation of our accredited training provider ‘Responsive Trade Education’ (RTE) in 2004. 

Through RTE Ross has developed ongoing partnerships with local community organisations and training organisations throughout the Waikato Region. 

Being an employer of a substantial workforce Ross has had 20 years of experience as a union negotiator with the EPMU getting deals across the table for his staff.

BEN TAU / COMPANY DIRECTOR, IWI LIASON AND ADVISOR, KAUMATUA OF IWI NGA PUHI HAPU NGATI-TORO 

Ben has over 45 years’ experience in the building and maintenance industries and as co-director of RML has been actively involved with management and financial meetings, providing support to and overseeing sub-contractor contracts and performance.

Ben sustains strong relationships and negotiations with all procurement suppliers in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty Regions. Since 2010, Ben has been working with the local Iwi in the Tainui, Wairiki and Ngai Tuhoe Regions creating opportunities for their hapu in the form of trade training and employment.

Ben’s roots run deep in his Iwi, Nga Puhi, and has continued to drive development for this Iwi as he has done for the Tainui, Wairiki and Ngai Tuhoe Regions. As part of the companies Community Contribution plan a major focus has been on renovating Maraes as can be seen at the PikiTeAroha Marae in Hokianga and the Patunga Marae in the Bay of Islands.
